Things to do While recovering from injury
Today, I received this email from a reader on my site.

As comical as this sounds, it's no joke. I'm a mess. I have been in and out (mostly out) of the pool for the better part of a month now. I'm losing fitness like crazy. I have a bad left shoulder and knee-I'm seeing an Ortho for both. I just sprained my right ankle. What the heck can I do in the pool to maintain some feel for the water?

Have any other advice to give her? Post them here for the world to read!

I think you must visit the Orthopedic & scan your shoulder & legs for any internal injuries.
Then you can also consult your physical trainer to start light exercises. It is better for you to stay out of water for sometime.

That's what I told her, but she loves it too much, so we had to find some things she could do without causing TOO much more damage.

But it is surely advisable not to swim with an injury as it can lay to permanent problem & she may not swim anymore.
So it is better to take proper rest.I believe that she needs to have strong will power.

She should still go to practices even if she doesn't swim. Stay in the routine. Stretch and do light exercises on the side. Muscles need to be exercised. The human body works like a perfect machine when functional. Clockwork.
