Foot stretching
Ok so I am fairly new to this swimming thing (nearly 2 years now) but I have noticed that among swimmers everyone seems to have the foot flexibility of dancers.

I have been working on my foot flexibility for a while and I have noticed a marked improvement in my kicking. I literally would not move before and now it takes me roughly 45 seconds to complete 25m (kicking hard). So naturally I still need to improve greatly. I do lots of kicking in my sets (usually with those speedo fins) to hopefully increase flexibillity.

Basically all I do at the moment is sit on my feet when I remember to try and stretch out my feet but I feel that it's not improving as it was.

Does anybody have guidance as to how long it should take and what are the best methods for increasing foot flexibility further?

RE: Foot stretching
Zoomers (and fins in general) are known to do an especially good job at improving ankle flexibility. Granted, it's going to hurt your ankles and you are going to be sore - but if you do kick sets with them then your foot flexibility will definitely increase.

You can check them out here: http://www.finisinc.com/support/technica...ning-fins/
