Question Recovering From Surgery
Hey everyone, I just got back in the water this morning for the first time in a month after having lung surgery, and it didn't feel that great at all. What are your guys' experiences with coming back from surgery, or other severe injuries?

Any response is appreciated Smile

RE: Recovering From Surgery
Luckily I haven't had surgery before, but I have seen my friends so I can say from observation that you need to start out really slowly. Make sure that it is OK from your doctor to swim, and then swim slowly and low amounts for a few days and build it up.

If you got surgery on your knee, its pretty common to use a pull buoy for a few weeks. Where did you have surgery?

RE: Recovering From Surgery
I was cleared today, and the surgery was on my left lung. I was in the water this morning and later in the afternoon, and I found that my left arm was severely weakened. I also have scars on my side which are still healing, which inhibited my streamlining and kickboard use. I suppose I'll just have to be patient and play by ear :/
