!!Swim for Scoliosis!!
New York spine surgeon to swim the Strait of Gibraltar!

Baron Lonner, M.D. is a spine surgeon who has devoted his career of nearly two decades to the treatment of children and adults with scoliosis and other spinal deformities. Now, Dr. Lonner is helping patients outside of the operating room!

On September 18, 2011 he will swim the Strait of Gibraltar; a 9-14 mile, 6-7 hour, 100,000's of strokes between the continents of Europe and Africa via a major shipping lane with sharks and strong currents.

Dr. Lonner is performing this swim to raise awareness for scoliosis and to raise funds for research and education by securing pledges to match each mile of his swim. Dr. Lonner is a member of the Harms Study Group Foundation, a not-for-profit established to advance techniques in the treatment of spinal deformities in children and adolescents through comprehensive clinical research.

To help Dr. Lonner help patients with Spinal Deformities, please visit the following link: http://www.harmsstudygroup.com/swimforscoliosis.html and click on the Donate button to the left.

Thank you for your help,
HSG Team

RE: !!Swim for Scoliosis!!
I was introduced to swimming because of my chiropractor because of my scoliosis. I wish I was there to support him.
