RE: Swimming Snacks
well, 4 hours before your workout you should be eating rice, and then as the time gets lower, you need to be switching these carbohydrate snacks so they become smaller in size and simpler for your body to digest. so 3 hours you would be eating lets say a PB sandwich, 2 hours before you would be snacking on fruits and then 1 hour something simple like nuts.
but yes, the MOST important meal, although often people say its breakfast, is always after your workout. this meal provides you with what the muscles needs and your muscles just suck it right in. and this snack list is perfect.
but when it comes to nuts, i just keep eating and eating and eating. cant stop. so just watch out for that, usually 2 handfuls are enough haha

RE: Swimming Snacks
Granola bars are probably the best snacks I've ever carried around. Fiber one specifically. Its good enough to eat more than one at a time...sadly.

RE: Swimming Snacks
I like to eat granola bars before and after I swam. I also liked to eat strawberry frosting and whatever else I could find to eat after a good swim, because I would always be very hungry after swimming.

RE: Swimming Snacks
I like to eat snacks after swimming, which are some frozen mango mimosa with orange juice or crambled eggs with grilled bread.

I just want to mention that there is no "low fat yoghurt".At least in my country, where original yoghurt comes from, low fat yoghurt(-3%) has no more than 40% real milk.A real yoghurt is like 3.5%-8% fats.

RE: Swimming Snacks
In my opinion, fruits such as grapes, watermelons, cantaloupe and honeydew are excellent choices for swimming snacks.
