Do you get nervous?
Whenever I would have swim meets, the nerves would start to take over me and sometimes I would shake in fear. I've heard eating a banana can help, but I always feared cramps. Am I the only one that gets nervous or do you guys get nervous as well?

RE: Do you get nervous?
I don't really get nervous at all. I mean, if it's a championship meet, I may get nervous right before my event, but otherwise not really.

RE: Do you get nervous?
Fear is definitely good in all the sports and that's because you realise that it is completely real and you are faceing with it. Fear should stimulate all of us, the athlets, to defeat our limits.

I really get nervous before my competitions & my body starts getting cold.
But I overcome my nervousness & enjoy the competitions with a smile on my face.

I fall apart too. The nerves are killing me. If I was a better swimmer maybe it would help.

RE: Do you get nervous?
Never nervous for individual swims.Knew the competitors i was swimming against and knew what they were capable/incapable of doing, just did my best according to who i was swimming against. If i didnt do as well as thought i would, i could only blame myself.Relays tho were different matter.Always got nervous because i never wanted to let teamates down by swimming a "crap" leg and letting them down.

RE: Do you get nervous?
I have find a trick to avoid nervousness. Before your swim just take deep breaths & feel relaxed.
Try to think positive & also do not get over excited. I have overcome nervousness in this manner.
