Whey Protein Supplements
I've decided that I'm going to be taking whey protein supplements in addition to my normal meals to help my muscles grow. It comes in a little powder, and you just sprinkle it on your food and it adds a bunch of extra protein.

I just started using it. Does anybody here have any experience with it?

RE: Whey Protein Supplements
I have use protein drinks and I do believe they work a little. Its not sudden, but you do see a little increase in muscle mass after a month or two. I have never heard nor tried the powder.

RE: Whey Protein Supplements
I have experience, and you want to measure out the amount of protein you intake each time.
according to a study, consuming 30 grams of protein at one time and 60 grams of protein at one time makes no difference whatsoever to the muscles because 30 grams each meal is apparently the optimum amount to intake. Taking in 60 grams will just waste the protein and make you consume more calories.
And um... most whey protein are meant to be mixed with water or milk.
I'm thinking that you should mix the protein with water and not sprinkle it on your food because when the protein is in liquid form, especially isolated whey protein, it is easier for it to slip into your muscles, instead of just sprinkling it over your food

RE: Whey Protein Supplements
i've been using the protein whey now for about 2 months. my boyfriend body builds and suggested i start taking the protein whey as a shake (usually mix it with almond milk, less calories) after my workouts. i've noticed better muscle toning and mass.

make sure you read the labels, a lot of the whey's out there have a high content of sugar.

RE: Whey Protein Supplements
I have been taking few protein supplements for a while to improve my swimming. My instructor also insisted taking the extra protein if I really wanted to improve my swimming to next level. I am just curious if it will have any side effects if I quit swimming for a while, because I am planning to trekking this month.

Whey Protein Isolate (also accepted as WPI) - Derived by itself from cow’s milk is a pure, affluent source of capital amino acids, the architecture blocks appropriate to produce lean muscle tissue. In its purest form as whey protein isolate (WPI), it contains little to no fat, lactose or cholesterol.

I just know that they taste horrible. I flavour mine with a little almond essence.
