Favorite Stroke?
What's your favorite stroke to swim? Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, or butterfly?

I enjoy doing Breaststroke. I'm a natural Breaststroker, and have never had trouble with it (at least compared to other people).

RE: Favorite Stroke?
Breaststroke is something I've been training on for the past years, it's something I'm VERY good at for the moment. But I enjoy the freestyle swimming though, it's nice after a few rounds of breaststroke Wink

RE: Favorite Stroke?
I like breaststroke. I have a large lung capacity for my size so I usually don't have to come up quite so fast. Sometimes I do enjoy a good butterfly, it really loosens me up.

RE: Favorite Stroke?
My favourite stroke is Butterfly. I am really working hard on it to develop.
I am a free style swimmer.

I really like the rhythm of fly, never got to swim it at a meet because I was a long distance swimmer, but I still liked to swim it in practice.

I don't understand? I would think that lung capacity would have the smallest impact on breaststroke of any stroke.

Anyways, I really enjoy butterfly, because it's the one stroke that I feel like I can exert all of my energy (cardiovascular and muscular) at any distance of the stroke. In everything else, I always feel like I should've gone faster.

But my favorite EVENT is the I.M. I really enjoy changing strokes, breaks up the monotony of the race.

Actually, backstroke probably. It has some impact in Breaststroke in terms of pullouts (staying under is my biggest issue).

Same, I love the 200 IM. 400IM is a little too much Tongue

RE: Favorite Stroke?
[align=right]Hi, I'm Tina and this is my first post on this forum. I 'm 17 and started training a year ago. I know that is too late, but I thought that I had some potential, which came back a little bit true, cause know I'm a competitive breastroke swimmer. Breastroke is my favourite technique, it came kind of natural for me, and I'm fastest in breastroke than in every other technique I swim. I know my possibilities and I know that I may never swim at the Olimpics, but I just love this sport, and enjoy having fun with friends while training, I know that this is individual sport, but there can also hanging out. Oh yeah, I would love to learn to improve the butterfly kick cause I also love this technique, too.
