Indoor or outdoor swimming pools ?
Hey,

I have a indoor swimming pool. Personally I prefer them to outdoor ones since they are easier to maintain and are easier to heat.

What do you have or use ? Huh

I actually do prefer them indoors. They're not too cold, you can swim in them year round, and they don't get filled with junk like leaves and bugs.

The only downside I can see is that the pool room and around it would get smelly and humid.

I also prefer Indoor swimming pools like Zash. The reason is because Belgium is a pretty cold country, and even with stuff around it, it's hard to make the water have warm. Indoor swimpools is like the only option for us here in Belgium except if we want to freeze Big Smile

RE: Indoor or outdoor swimming pools ?
For competing I like outdoor pools, as the water tends to be a few degrees cooler. It adds to the excitement of the competition, and gives me that extra edge.

For training, though, I like a nice warm indoor pool. If I'm going to be there for a while, I want to be comfortable.

I can't exactly train in warm pools. My muscles get way too relaxed, and I basically swim too slowly.

I prefer outdoor. I just feel faster in them, don't know why.

Also, outdoor pools are better for your health. The chloramines aren't trapped in the air like they are in indoor pools. And for those of us with asthma, it's way more comfortable.

Plus, the added bonus of a free tan! ;-)

I too like the indoor swimming pools like many of you.
I think you can swim calmly & it can help you to make better preparations for the competitions.
