One more WR
Hello friends,
World records are made & broken in every competitions. The Russian 4x100m medley quartet of Stanislav Donets, Sergey Geybel, Evgeny Korotyshkin and Daniil Isotov clocked a new short-course record of 3:19.16, at Salnikov Cup.
I think they are the best team in 4x100m competitions.

Congrats to them. I'll be updating the World Records Database - there have been quite a few breaks Tongue

Not sure that's true...they just snuck in at the end of the megasuits. The record holder before that was the Americans from the Duel in the Pool with a sort-of B-squad. The problem is that the Americans rarely get the opportunity to swim SCM races, especially relays. And the American relay managed to break the WR being off of training (many Americans are taking time off from the pool, because the Pan Am games are not as important as the Euros, there's no 2010 WC, and it's probably their last chance to do so between now and 2012).

Of course, they have the record and probably will for a good while (The Americans sliced 3 full seconds off of it, but now with the suits gone...) I would definitely give the Russians a close second though.

Hey Zash, I think a good idea would be to keep an up to date World Record progression. On Wikipedia, they do a good job of keeping the actual WR's updated, but the progressions usually fall behind current time.

I had a look at your WR database & I really liked the content. I would appreciate your good work & also urge you that you can give yourself the winning trophy that you had decided to give.

RE: One more WR
You mean like show previous World Records as well? I may consider that - it will take a while to implement.

Yep that's what I mean.

I know it will take some time, but if you just take it one event at a time, eventually you'll get through it all, and it would be a GREAT addition, especially if you set it up for research-Sorting, comparisons, graphs, etc.
